Music as a Divine Presence
Live Music on the Psaltery
Music Composition
The Grand Inquisitor existentially complex and multidimensional performance challenges the protagonist to confront his inner demons. The role of God is symbolized through musical harmonies, with the hero intervening and debating with sound itself. These sounds transform into a metaphor for spirituality, creating a profound exploration of the human condition.
The psaltery composition becomes a sacred language, harking back to ancient traditions where the perfect musicality of the spheres was believed to be divine speech. Drawing from the dichotomy between the sacred and profane, the performance delves into the bipolarity of the human-God relationship, offering an intense examination of the soul’s darkest corners.
