ELEGIA is a theatrical performance bringing together prose, poetry, live music and polyphonic singing. Created by an international ensemble from Poland, Italy and Canada, it explores the fragile bonds between love and hatred, brotherhood and conflict, and the human experience of war and peace.

At the heart of the performance is a contemporary reimagining of the Greek Chorus — a collective voice of memory, dialogue and resistance. Traditional Corsican and Italian songs meet texts by ancient and contemporary poets, creating an elegy for peace beyond borders.

Rafal Habel-Bloodgood joins the performance as a performer and musician. He plays several instruments and creates live music in dialogue with the space, the other performers and the unfolding action. He also uses an original instrument developed from an everyday object.

His work is largely based on improvisation, listening and responding to what happens on stage in each moment. Alongside the live music, he sings and performs spoken text in Polish, engaging in a continuous dialogue with the other performers, the space and the unfolding action.
