Iso Sound and Movement Composition by Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou is a polymorphic performance blending sound, movement, and silence with diverse narratives. Moreover, it invites audiences into an innovative auditory and visual experience.

Originating from Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou’s doctoral thesis, Iso Aizo explores the relationship between sound composition and movement—both internal and external. In addition, the work delves into sound recording and the dramaturgy of auditory experiences, creating a dynamic interplay between sound, movement, and silence. As a result, six independent entities come together for this composition, each carrying their unique narrative. Having previously performed solo, these entities unite for the first time in front of an audience on April 4th and 5th, with a shared focus on a bird that once lived in a cage, named Aizo.

Over five chapters, these diverse paths converge into a cohesive performance, blending sound and silence, movement and stillness, and individual and collective narratives. Furthermore, Iso mirrors real-life dynamics, exploring coexistence amidst differences:

  • When does motion cease?
  • What drives each existence?
  • How do opposites and similarities shape collaboration?

**Ultimately,** the result is 6+1 narratives—interconnected yet distinct—telling a common story through diverse perspectives within the Iso sound and movement composition.
